NYC Makeup Show 2014: Makeup Haul and Review

I survived another makeup show and left without buying everything I laid my eyes on. This year I wanted to try out a few brands I’ve heard of but did not have the pleasure of using. I’m excited to show you my goody bag.

Young Blood

It’s been around for eighteen years, but this was the first time I actually tried their face products on my skin. You won’t find them in department stores, they are in selected places. It’s a mineral makeup company that uses ingredients which is beneficial for your skin. All the products felt light and not cakey. It gave my skin a luminous glow and evened out my skin tone.

Mineral Primer

It’s a silky formula that just glides on your skin. It will leave your skin velvety smooth.

Liquid Mineral Foundation Tahitian Sun

A smooth formula that is easy to blend and build-able.

Ultimate Concealer Medium Tan

This emollient concealer will erase your dark circles and will not settle in your crease. I love the consistency of it and how it doesn’t feel cakey.

High Definition Hydrating Mineral Perfecting Powder Warmth

This powder will lock down your makeup the whole day. It will give your skin the airbrush makeup effect. It’s soft texture will leave your skin looking smooth.

Natural Loose Mineral Foundation Toffee

Its an all in one foundation and powder that cover and even your tone. It brushes on seamlessly.

Young Blood is my new favorite makeup brand. I love the way all the face products feel on my skin and it has the right amount of coverage.

Oliv Ares Haus of Glam Beverly Hill Lashes

I love lashes and I could not pass these ones up! They have 12 different strip lashes with fun names that will whisk you off to places like, Monte Carlo, Tokyo, and Paris. Their pamphlet includes a short description of each lash. I decided to go with Beverly Hills: Perfect for every housewife period. The lashes crisscross giving the illusion of depth and thickness. They will glam up your everyday look. What I love most is that about these lashes are that they are light and fit naturally on my eyelids.

Graftobian HD Glamour Creme Palette Warm

With this creme palette a little goes a long long way. The creams are highly pigmented and it’s buttery texture goes on really smooth. It’s creamy consistency allows for versatility and can be used as concealer or as cream foundation. The palette comes with 18 warm shades that range from medium light to medium dark. I couldn’t wait to dip my fingers on all the shades and blend.

Embryolisse For Dry Skin

My favorite moisturizer. This stuff got me through a very harsh New York winter. It saved my skin from being dry and cracked. I had to stock up and get three of them. What I love about this moisturizer is that it includes ingredients like shea butter, aloe vera, and soy extract. It leaves my skin soft and silky.
